It´s been a long time since I published my last tutorial, so I thought about dropping by this blog today just to put together a very simple page that could give you an idea on how I work with layers.
Little Joys
I have assembled this layout in layers of paint, paper and embellishments.
Let’s check it out, next, in a simple step-by-step:
On the first phase, we prepare the base (1st layer of paper) with paint. Using a mask, spray yellow mist in two opposite directions, already thinking of the design it will be formed with the photos, embellishments and paper.
Remove the mask and watch the result.
Next, cut some strips of paper and banners that can serve as other layers.
For this layout I used the idea of a visual graphic (the pie chart kind) to show percentages of joy caused by the little girls that are in my photo and that are part of my life.
Such graphics are also assembled from layers of papers created with the help of a circular punch and scissors. To create them, cut out circles with the help of a 2 inch circular punch (4 cm).
Allow some intact to serve as base
and the others, cut from papers of different colors, you should fold in half, repeating this operation once or twice more to create creases and to obtain geometric shapes.
Cut the pieces of the fractions as you wish to make your “happiness graphic”.
I’ve made three of these.
Begin assembling the lay-out. For that we will adhere a thin strip of paper (1cm /0.4 inch X 30 cm / 12 inches – American Craft Green Light), 10 cm away (4 inches) from the inferior border of the page.
Prepare mats of paper for 3 mini-photos.
We will also add mats to the stickers, giving them another layer of paper. Leave about 0,5 cm (about a quarter inch) on the borders.
Cut some circles from the pattern paper “On the Clock”
and set them aside to be adhered to the page.
Adhere the strips of paper, banners and title to the page, as shown in the photo.
After that, adhere also the mini-photos.
As for the small circles taken from the patterned paper “On the Clock”, they will be adhered with foam tape, so we can obtain more volume and shade.
These little circles will be adhered to the page giving it a certain movement, capable of taking the observer eyes from one diagonal to the other on our page.
Being already perfectly created the “skeleton” of our page, we should only include some embellishments. In this case, we will apply coordinate embellishments of the same collection we are using.
Include the title, the subtitle
and some more stickers.
To finalize, make another layer of paint that consists in small splatters of spray.
With a pen, draw a line around some elements for a greater contrast.

Como faz tempo que não publico nenhum passo-a-passo, hoje pensei em montar com vocês uma página simples.
Observem abaixo o layout “Little Joys”:

Construi esse layout com camadas de tintas, papéis e enfeires.
Vamos, a seguir, num Passo-a-passo simples, conferi-lo.
Na primeira etapa, preparamos a base (1ª. Camada de papel) com tinta. Usando uma máscara, borrife spray de coloração amarela em dois sentidos opostos, já pensando em incluir assim um desenho a ser formado com suas fotos, enfeites e papéis.
Retire a máscara e observe o resultado
Em seguida, corte algumas tiras de papéis e banners/bandeirolas que possam servir como outras camadas.
Para este layout, vamos usar a ideia de gráficos visuais (do tipo bolo) para mostrar porcentagens de alegria causada pelas pequenas garotas que aparecem em minha foto e que fazem parte de minha vida.
Tais gráficos também são montados a partir de camadas de papéis criadas com auxílio de um furador circular e tesoura.
Para cria-los, corte círculos com o auxílio de furadores circulares de 4 cm (2 inches) de diâmetro. Deixe alguns intactos para servirem de base e os outros, perfurados de papéis de cores diferentes, vocês deverão dobrá-los ao meio, repetindo essa operação mais uma ou duas vezes para criar vincos e obter desenhos geométricos.
Corte os pedacinhos das frações como desejar para formarem seu “gráfico da felicidade”. Eu montei três destes
Inicie a montagem do layout. Para isso, vamos colar uma tira fina de papel (1cm X 30 cm – American Craft Green Light) distando 10 cm (4 inches) da borda inferior da página.
Prepare tapetes de papel para 3 mini fotos.
Também adicionaremos “tapetes” aos adesivos autocolantes, dando-lhes também uma outra camada de papel. Deixe cerca de 0,5 cm nas bordas.
Corte alguns círculos do papel “On the Clock” e reserve-os para que sejam colados à página.
Cole as tiras, bandeirolas/banners e título à pagina como mostra a foto.
A seguir, cole também as mini-fotos.
Quanto aos pequenos círculos extraídos do papel “On the Clock”, serão colados com fita banana para que possamos obter mais volume e sombreado.
Esses pequenos círculos serão colados à página, dando-lhe um certo movimento capaz de levar o olhar do observador de uma diagonal a outra da nossa página.
Já perfeitamente criado o “esqueleto” de nossa página, devemos apenas incluir alguns enfeites. Neste caso, utilizaremos enfeites coordenados da mesma coleção de que estamos nos utilizando.
Inclua o título e o subtítulo e mais alguns adesivos.
Para finalizar, uma outra camada de tinta consistente em pequenos respingos de spray.
Contorne alguns elementos para obter um contraste maior e o layout está pronto. Espero que curtam!
