Once Upon a Sketch May Challenge

Hi everyone!

A new challenge is up at Once Upon a Sketch Challenge blog!

 

 Theme: Mum

We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Mum" however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch.

Ideas for journalling: you as a mother, your role as a working/stay-at-home mum, sacrifices/benefits of being a mum, one day in your life as a mum, how your life has changed since being a mum, a tribute to your own mum, grandmother, guardian or someone you consider as close as your mum, your relationship with your mum or your daughter, one trait you have take from your mum, your desire to be a mum, your feelings on motherhood, what does it mean to be a mum?, what kind of mum do you want to be? , Mother's Day celebrations/traditions, your favourite Mother's Day gift given/receive etc..

Precious Baby Girl

Hi all!

Happy Thrusday!

Mother´s day is just around the corner and, of course, the special ladies in my life are going to get some handmade gifts from me as a way to show how much I love and aprreciate them.

That´s why some months ago I started two albums, one for my mother and other for my mother-in-law and now I have just a few more days to finish them, so, I´m doing some pages to fill these album´s pages.

The page below is about my little new niece Maya, Precious Baby Girl.

 As I had the most adorable picture of this little girl inside a suitcase, I just thought it would be nice to use the new Prima "En Français" collection because of it´s adorable colors and tags and labels and that´s exactly what I did here - a lot of layers of "En Français" papers combined with the amazing Imaginarium Design Chipboards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Imaginarium Design chipboards used Phrase (IDP0047) and the key to my heart set.

Estou por aqui finalizando algumas páginas que irão compor dois álbuns que darei de presente no dia das mães para algumas mulheres especiais que fazem parte de minha vida.

A página acima é uma dessas que irá fazer parte do álbum de minha sogra.

Foi confeccionada com papéis da Prima, coleção "En Français" e chipboards da Imaginarium Designs.

A coleção "En Français" tinha tons e motivos perfeitos para combinar com a foto, em que a pequena Maya está dentro de uma malinha, com direito a tag e tudo o mais!!!

E vocês, já pensaram em presentes feitos por você mesma para presentear aos seus?

"Chick" layout

Hi all!

Hope you´re all having a wonderful day!

Today I have a layout to share "Chick" - a page that portrays a funny moment of my daughter´s life:

 

 I have used Prima Almanac collection here and some Imaginarium Designs chipboards (frames, flourishes)

 I added some felt flowers & laces & textures to this page and had a lot of fun putting all these layers together

Hoje passo rapidinho, no meio da loucura e correria dos preparativos do evento Yummy´s, pra postar uma página feita com a coleção Almanac da Prima e chipboards da Imaginarium.

Essa página mostra um momento da vida de minha filha em que ela imitava uma galinha, e daí porque usei no título o trocadilho "chick", bem como os elementos decorativos da almanac, cujas imagens e cores eram perfeitas pra essa foto!

É só isso por hoje, tenham um ótimo feriado!

 

Two more WP "Game on" layouts

Hi everyone!

Today, here and at Webster´s Pages blog, I bring you two more "Game On" layouts.

I love "Game On" collection patterns and colors - the board game design, their little cards, dies, card decks, dominos and little pieces inspired me a lot!

I did not work on themed layouts (these aren´t layouts related to sports) - I just thought the collecton was perfect to portray the idea of "how lucky I am to have my family" and "how happy I´m that they are united as a team"!

So, here´s the first one "Lucky to have you", using the playing cards:

 

 

 

 

And the second " You are a team", which has the game board as a base:

 

 

 

 

 

Have you seen here how you can perfectly embellish your page just by cutting those gorgeous gems and trims by Webster´s Pages and adding them to your scrap projects? That´s what I did here! To add more interest I also have used on both layouts the Embellishment 4 Chipbord shape by Imaginarium Designs.

Easter Week at The Scrapcake blog

 

Hi everyone!

We´re having a special week at The Scrapcake blog ! All dedicated to Easter themed projects!

Have I ever said to you how much I love this time of the year?
Easter is such a joyful celebration with all the children´s excitment about dying and hunting eggs that I couldn´t resist creating something special.
First, I created a delicate 3-D paper Easter egg using the gorgeous TSC "One Moment in Time" collection. 
Easter eggs are so meaningful as they are symbols of renewed life and hope that I wanted to decorate one myself to offer to someone I love!

 

 

 Inspired by Fabergé´s wonderful eggs I decided to include a lot of blings and little fabric flowers to decorate my piece and I left the inside to insert a special gift with a heartful message.

 Oh yes, you can open this 3-d paper egg and fill it with whatever you want.

 

 

I also found inspiration in the spring soft colors from TSC "My Private Happiness" collection to make a layout just to tell how my daughter celebrates Easter every year.

Todo decorado com blings com inspiração nos ovos de Fabergé, eu reservei o interior do ovo para mensagens especiais de Páscoa. Fiz uma tag para desejar muito amor e alegria nesta renovação pascal para aqueles que amo!

Também aproveitei para fazer um layout de Páscoa contando como minha filha adora esperar o coelhino anualmente!

"Game on" layouts

Hey everyone!

Today´s post is all dedicated to show you two layouts featuring the "Game On" line by Webster´s Pages.

Have you seen this collection? It´s all related to sports, it has colors that are perfect to boysh layouts and it´s full of cool game patterns:

 

So, I had to take a break on those shabby layouts to create something different today.

The first one is "Pedro - you are a winner!!"

 

 

The other one is the single page layout I did for Pedro, this handsome little man:

 

 

 In this layout I have used an Imaginarium Designs phrase chipboard as a tittle.

 

 

A special thanks for my friend Cinthia who allowed me to create using her handsome son´s photos!

You have the key to my heart

Hi everyone!

Today is my big day at Imaginarium Designs blog as they´re showing the four layouts I created for them this month.

For this special post I prepared a tutorial to show how I painted one of the chippies in the layout  You have the key to my heart.

 

 

 

 

I have combined some Webster´s Pages Palm Beach with Everyday´s Poetry Petit Papers here. I also have used some gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboards:

IDS0018 Window with lattice
IDS0021 Fence
IDFL001 Flourish
The key to my heart phrase

Let me show you how I painted the "Window with lattice" chipboard:

First,  I stamped the chipboard with versamark

 

And embossed it with the heat gun and Zing opaque white:

 

I used Pan Pastels to shade:

 

 

 Then  I added some gesso paint brushes:

 

 

and finished up by painting some tiles with brown acrylic paint:

By customizing my chippies I got an unique touch to my layout!!!
