In a Scrap of Paper: Pink Paislee

Hi there!

We´re having a special event at Pink Paislee´s blog this month: a countdown to Christmas with amazing giveaways!

I was in charge of today´s post and that´s why I have a Christmas project using City Sidewalks line to inspire you!

This time I thought it would be great to use a bit of recycled packaging to put together a cool mini album.

This tag album celebrates Christmas gift giving tradition. By adding pockets and tags to my album I could insert not only some of my family photos but also notes, cards, letters and other memorabilia.

Recreating this project is easy. Let me show you in a few steps how you can do it:

1. Recycle the package of City Sidewalks Collage Sheets for the cover of the album. Score it at 7" and 8" and fold.

2.Trace the shape of the package onto a City Sidewalks Santas Workshop paper, cut it and paste it to cover the inside back cover of the album. Embellish one tag with 2 layers of City Sidewalks Ephemera to decorate the front cover.

3.For the spine of the album, make an accordion of cardstock folded at 1" X 6" (6 times)

4. Insert the spine into the inside of the album.

5. For the inside pockets, take a patterned paper. Score it at 5 1/2" and 11" .

6. Fold at the score marks and adhere the edge.

7. Score and fold it in half verticaly.

8. Repeat the operation and create more pockets.

9. Adhere the pockets to the accordion.

10. Decorate each pocket.

11. Trace the shape of City Sidewalks Parcel Tags package onto a few patterned paper and cut to create some tags.

12. Decorate each tag.

Portfolio week at Pink Paislee´s blog

Hi everyone!

It´s my turn to share a Pink Paislee project with you using the new Portfolio line.

This line invites us to display our memories like a portfolio in a functional way and that´s why I thought about adding to my layout an extendable file that could allow me to keep not only my photos but also letters, notes, receipts, postcards, tickets and other memorabilia.

Pockets are perfect for storing and preserving memorabilia and keepsakes and we are able to store and organize everything with the help of the adorable tabs that come with the Portfolio collection.

We can even decorate them and add a lot of fun embellishments and layers:

These pockets files are versatile and can be added not only to layouts but also to the 3-ring binder Portfolio album.

They are also easy to make. Cut a 9 X 12 inches piece of paper. Fold it in half.

Fold the two side flaps in and cut off the bottom flaps. Apply adhesive.

Repeat the operations to create another pocket file and put them together by adhering another piece of paper on top.

That´s it! Use your imagination to decorate your files and organize easily everthing you collect that are part of your life and memories!

Social Media Week at Pink Paislee blog!

Hi everyone!

We´re having a special inspirational week at Pink Paislee blog and you simply can´t miss them!

We´ve seen along this week that nowadays we have and incredible number of web and mobile-based technologies that turn communication into an interactive dialogue and make our life much more easy and fun.

I assume that me and you, adorable reader, love scrapbooking and also to connect with other people who have this incredibly fun hobby as part of their lives. Scrapbooking is more fun when we find a community to share our works. I love "flickr", my personal blog and other online galleries where I can store my craft projects or share my personal photos.

Flickr, for instance, is an online photo manegement and sharing application. I use it to store and share all of my scrapbook projects and I do the same on my blog and other online galleries.

It´s super nice to store my works and find that someone in another distant country has seen it and enjoyed what I created. Along the years that I´ve been scrapbooking I have uploaded a great amount of pages online and have been connected to the world by sharing my passion for keeping my life´s little happy moments.

So, I decided to take a look at my online boards and have created a page layout that shows some of my favorite Pink Paislee´s works:

I have combined here "She Art" and "Spring Jubilee" lines by Pink Paislee. They´re colorful and meaningful which mean that they´re perfect to portray what I feel about sharing the love for scrapbooking.

Numbers week at Pink Paislee blog

Hi all!

We´re having an inspirationl week at Pink Paislee blog all dedicated to numbers and I was schedule for today´s post.

There´s so many fun ideas to work when the subject is "numbers" and Pink Paislee has those gorgeous Jumbo Numbers to inspire us to create something super cool that my mind was full of ideas to prepare the blog post.

After a lot of thinking, I simply have decided to create a single page layout to portray how much I love my daughter.

Is love measurable? No, I don´t think so. Love is something that you have to live it and in that resides it ‘s beauty and greatness. It´s immeasurable. At least the love a mother feels for her her daughter is.

I decided to play with numbers and Pink Paislee´s tapes trims to show this idea of trying to measure something that should be enough for itself and I thought this collage was viasully super fun!
